BIO

Christopher Imbrie is an abstract painter based in Bethesda, Maryland. Born in Washington, he spent a large part of his youth living abroad with his Foreign Service family.

Christopher began to draw at an early age but gave it up in his teens. In 2011, Christopher returned to art. He dove back into painting with passion and studies with Lauren Rader, a Washington area artist. He has thrived under her instruction on the use of various techniques, styles and media. In his studio, Christopher prefers to paint with acrylics on canvas.

As an autistic person, Christopher has found his voice through his exuberant, energetic, and dramatically colorful abstract painting.
